On the 12th November 2010, "Windhill What a Surprise" (aka "CJ") was born.
He is called "What a Surprise" because he arrived early (8 days to be exact) and you can imagine the surprise Gary got when we went down to the stables to do a final check before switching the lights off and found a little face looking at him.
Wattie sire is Chester and his dam is "Fairbanks Genellie" (Gelriano) (aka Nelli)
Nelli is a Hannoverian mare and she has produced a number of successful horses for Russell and Helga Davidson of Fairbanks Warmblood Stud before coming to Windhill.
One of Nelli's successful progeny is Jocelyn Hutton's "Wallstrasse" who is by the famous "Weltmeyer" (who is also Chester's father).
"Wallstrasse" is a successful competitor throughout Australia, breaking into the FEI ranks and previously a Qld State Squad member.
"CJ" is destined for success when his sire has won and placed in all the major young horse competitions throughout Australia and his dam has produced proven performance horses.
He already has Chester's presence and that famous "10" walk.
Initally his paddock name was Wattie however as we got to know him and his true personality has come through, we found that he is eactly like Chester in his mannerisms and temperament. We decided to name him "CJ" for "Chester Junior"
